What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain a variety of spreadsheets and pivot tables utilizing daily and monthly data files to effectively support the preparation of journal entries.
• Prepare numerous journal entries specifically related to claims and premium activities for various BCBSMA products and lines of business.
• Prepare numerous account reconciliations, addressing various general ledger accounts as part of the monthly closing process.
• Utilize various data software packages in order to support, analyze, and reconcile financial data related to claims and premium activity.
• Assist in posting journal entries to the general ledger, contributing directly to the monthly closing process and daily operations of Corporate Accounting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A BA/BS Degree in Accounting or a related field is required for this entry-level Accounting Analyst opportunity within the Corporate Accounting area.
• Experience: Desired qualifications include 1-3 years of experience in Accounting or a related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of accounting principles and operations, along with a strong work ethic.
