What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support the Accounting Department at La-Z-Boy’s World Headquarters, contributing to the daily operations and strategic goals of the team.
• Participate: Participate actively in various projects related to Accounting, gaining practical, hands-on experience within the field.
• Develop: Develop overall business acumen and knowledge of La-Z-Boy’s business strategy and processes by working as an integral part of the team.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with fellow interns and team members, fostering an environment of shared learning and contributing to group efforts.
• Present: Prepare and deliver a presentation to leaders and other interns at the end of the season, detailing accomplishments and providing feedback on the internship experience.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor’s degree program focused on Accounting, having completed 2-3 years of study. This is an entry-level position designed for students building their foundational knowledge.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, essential for supporting accounting functions. No specific years of professional experience are required beyond academic progress.
• Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and leadership. Must exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, and a critical capacity to maintain strict confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount for success in this role.
