What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Assist with preparing various income tax returns (Individual, C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Trust) under the guidance of senior staff.
• Bookkeeping Support: Help maintain accurate books and records for clients, including data entry, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping tasks.
• Client Communication: Respond to routine client requests and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
• Research: Research basic accounting and tax questions relating to specific clients.
• Task Management: Manage assigned tasks and deadlines across multiple client engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College coursework or a degree in accounting, representing an entry point into public accounting.
• Experience: Relevant coursework or 1–2 years of hands-on tax/accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, Organizational skills, Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team, Ability to manage multiple deadlines, Willingness to learn the Thomson Reuters tax/accounting software suite.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to the Thomson Reuters tax/accounting software suite, Familiarity with QuickBooks.
