Spring 2027 Co-op, Revenue Accounting | Vertex Pharmaceuticals
The Tone:
This is a full-time co-op at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, located in Boston, MA, with a hybrid work option. • Mission: Participate in accounting activities related to monthly closes and operational projects within Revenue Accounting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in specific monthly accounting activities for the revenue close, including sales journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review: Examine accounts receivable transactions and reporting, collaborating with the team on items that require follow-up with third-party service providers or customers.
• Develop: Contribute to projects such as data gathering and analytics related to sales, including delivery metrics and accounts receivables, and developing data dashboards and presentations.
• Research: Investigate accounting guidance from frameworks like U.S. GAAP or IFRS for new, complex, or unusual financial transactions.
• Support: Assist with the compilation of financial data necessary to prepare financial statements and related disclosures for external reporting purposes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in a college or university, having finished at least two years of a bachelor’s degree or pursuing a master’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Prior internship or co-op experience in Accounting is required.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly, ability to work independently and in a team environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Software.
• Bonus: Experience with Oracle is a plus. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, as sponsorship is not provided for this role. Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from January to June 2027 is required. If graduating before June 2027, enrollment in an advanced degree program is necessary.
