What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Accounting Management: Perform day-to-day accounting functions for small and mid-sized business clients, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Financial Record Keeping: Complete bank and account reconciliations, prepare accurate journal entries, and maintain comprehensive accounting records to ensure data integrity.
• Period-End & Compliance Support: Assist with month-end close procedures, sales and payroll tax-related activities, and the preparation of financial statements and reporting.
• Tax Preparation: Support individual and business tax preparation during tax season, contributing to timely and accurate client filings and compliance.
• Client Relationship Management: Communicate directly with clients to provide responsive, professional service, and support additional accounting and tax projects as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Ideal candidates will possess accounting education, internship experience, or early-career accounting experience, seeking broad exposure to accounting functions.
• Experience: Foundational experience with day-to-day accounting functions and a desire to progress towards more complex balance sheet reconciliations and advanced accounting responsibilities.
• Skills: Core competencies in managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, completing bank and account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with tax activities.
• Bonus: The firm is flexible and open to considering more experienced Accounting candidates, with a willingness to adjust the job title for individuals with significant relevant experience.
