Job Description: 2026 Finance Internship Program – Early Careers

This posting describes the 2026 Finance Summer Internship Program within Wells Fargo’s Finance organization, designed for early career development.

Program Overview:
This is a ten-week early career development program designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of Wells Fargo, including its operations, business strategies, and organizational culture. The internship experience is structured to offer a blend of business and professional development training opportunities, incorporating real-world experiences to prepare students for a potential career at Wells Fargo. Key components of the program include:
• Relationship building opportunities.
• Relevant work assignments.
• Coaching and feedback sessions.
• Group projects.
• Informative learning sessions with key leaders.
Interns will be placed in one of the various finance groups based on their location, degree, interests, and business needs. The finance groups that interns may support include:
• Consumer Banking & Lending Finance
• Wealth & Investment Management Finance
• Commercial Banking Finance
• Corporate & Investment Banking Finance
• Corporate & Strategic Finance
• Chief Operating Office Finance
• Investment Portfolio
• Technology Finance
• Treasury
• Controllers Division
• Investor Relations

In This Role, You Will:
• Gain experience across various finance disciplines that support Wells Fargo’s objectives.
• Benefit from formal training opportunities through onboarding, orientation activities, and throughout the duration of the program, preparing you for a finance career at Wells Fargo.
• Receive coaching and engage in networking opportunities to support your professional development.
• Be exposed to multiple business lines and a range of finance-related responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate for this internship should possess the following qualities and skills:
Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team or committee.
Highly motivated and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to effectively organize tasks, manage time, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• An energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.

Demonstrated problem analysis and solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative, change-driven environment.

Required Qualifications:
6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Basic proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, SQL, and/or others.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities, including volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), or non-profit involvement.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in specific fields such as Accounting, Business Data & Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Math, or Business Administration/Business Management.
• Demonstrated knowledge, interests, and/or experience in the financial services industry, corporate accounting, managing data and reporting, data visualization, and/or data analytics.

Program Duration and Locations:
Duration: The program runs for 10 weeks, specifically from June to August 2026 (exact dates are to be determined and subject to change).
Locations: The primary program locations are Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; and Irving, TX. These locations are subject to change and contingent on business needs.

Work Authorization: Wells Fargo will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and will not require work visa sponsorship from Wells Fargo now or in the future to maintain their authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Range: The base pay offered for this position ranges from $18.00 to $65.00. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as achievements, skills, experience, or work location, and is part of a broader compensation package.
