Summer Intern, Publisher Development (Business Development) | OpenX

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at OpenX, located remotely. OpenX builds digital advertising markets and technologies, dedicated to maximizing the economic potential of digital media companies by delivering optimal value to publishers and advertisers for every ad served. This role is crucial because it directly contributes to the growth of OpenX’s supply network by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding premium publisher partners, thereby driving revenue initiatives within the ad tech ecosystem.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partner Identification: Identify and research prospective publisher partners across CTV, mobile app, and web platforms.
• Market Analysis: Analyze publisher business models, ownership structures, and monetization strategies to understand market dynamics.
• Pipeline Support: Support the development of the new business pipeline and track opportunities from initiation to closure.
• Material Preparation: Prepare essential meeting briefs, opportunity summaries, and follow-up materials for sales leaders.
• Strategic Contribution: Contribute to strategic projects, including market expansion and publisher segmentation initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications, or a related field; early career level.
• Experience: Strong interest in sales, partnerships, media, or ad tech.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; proficiency in Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs.
• Bonus: Proficiency in Excel; a proactive, self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail.
