Job Description:
Meritage Homes is seeking a detail-oriented and curious People Operations Analytics Intern to join their People Operations team. This internship will support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of employee data to help shape people-related decisions across Meritage Homes. You will work closely with People Operations, Talent & Learning, Inclusion & Culture, Information Technology, and business partners to deliver insights that improve employee experience, performance, and engagement. You will also support the creation of systems and processes that drive greater efficiency and optimize their HRIS.
The stuff you will do:
• Create and maintain recurring dashboards coupled with written quantitative/qualitative reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, time-series reporting, hiring metrics).
• Support ad-hoc data requests and provide insights to help drive people-related decisions.
• Conduct statistical analyses and identify trends & anomalies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Maintain data integrity and privacy in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Assist in compiling, cleaning, and validating People Analytics data from multiple sources (e.g., Learning Systems, HRIS, engagement surveys, performance systems).
• Document processes and maintain data dictionaries.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to run various learning reports, verify course completions, and perform system/data audits.
• Maintain course assignments for new users and run weekly data imports for integrated reporting.
• Assists in uploading and maintaining learning content in our Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and LMS
• Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.
• Learn our core values and why they drive everything we do
• Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
• Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
• Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
