Human Resources Intern

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, benefits, systems management, compliance, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is eager to learn about HR processes and contribute to a positive workplace culture. This role is required to be on-site in our San Diego lab.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the recruiting administration, including handling on-site interview support for candidates and employees.
• Support new hire onboarding by preparing documentation, coordinating orientation sessions, and updating employee records.
• Maintain and organize electronic HR documents, employee files, and databases.
• Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities and company events.
• Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Assist with HRIS data maintenance.
• Assist with office maintenance and administration.
• Perform other administrative and HR-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with HR software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
