Job Description

Citizant is seeking a motivated and process-oriented intern to learn and work in their Human Resources Department. This is a SkillBridge internship for active-duty U.S. Military Service Members who qualify for participation in the DoD SkillBridge program. The intern will participate in on-the-job training to develop existing military technical experience and perform duties under the following function areas:

Onboarding: Understand and assist in the full onboarding process, ensuring all HR activities are initiated and completed on time.
Employee Relations: Administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, and performance management. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
Learning and Development: Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and professional development, including anti-harassment, business ethics training, certifications, and tuition reimbursement.
Employee Engagement, Recognition, and Programs: Assist in planning company events and track year of service milestone awards.
Offboarding: Assists with processing of terminations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be an active-duty U.S. Military Service Member who qualifies for participation in the DoD SkillBridge program
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Citizant’s employee management systems
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Must demonstrate attention to details
