HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division is the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi, significantly contributing to the economic growth of Alabama. With over 11,000 employees, for nearly 85 years, they have designed, built, and maintained amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard. As the largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants, they concurrently build four classes of ships and are pioneers in developing and producing technologically advanced ships for the Navy.
