What You’ll Actually Do
• Assess: Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform Procedures: Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), documenting the administration of care in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer Medication: Perform the administration of prescribed medications, monitoring patient for therapeutic response and intervening as appropriate.
• Provide Care: Perform exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, striving to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Educate: Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing completed prior to start date. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: No previous experience needed.
• Skills: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment; Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State within 90 days of graduation date per State of Missouri guidelines.
