Accounting Intern, BS – Summer 2027 | Marvell Technology
The Tone:
This is an internship at Marvell Technology. Marvell builds semiconductor solutions that form the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure connecting our world, across enterprise, cloud, AI, and carrier architectures. This role matters because it supports the foundational financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing essential insights for decision-making across key markets like Data Center and Communications.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Pay: $21–$42 hourly
• Team: Accounting team, specifically within SEC Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting, Global GL Consolidations, and Global Accounting Policy teams.
• Mission: To deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and provide insights that support decision-making.
• Tech Stack: Oracle ERP system, Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist with the preparation of global journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Prepare: Help with SEC filings schedules and perform tie-outs for 10-Qs and earnings press releases.
• Document: Contribute to SOX controls documentation to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate: Support monthly general ledger close and consolidation processes using the Oracle ERP system.
• Participate: Engage in ad-hoc accounting projects, including process improvements and automation initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027 or later, qualifying for an entry-level internship.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and accurate with strong attention to detail and sense of ownership; proactive, collaborative problem solver with a customer service oriented approach.
