Operations Associate | Admiral Insurance Group (a Berkley Company)

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Admiral Insurance Group. Since 1974, Admiral Insurance Group has specialized in wholesale-dedicated excess and surplus (E&S) commercial insurance, providing creative solutions for difficult-to-place, moderate to high-risk businesses. This role is crucial for supporting underwriting operations through policy lifecycle management, system and data support, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Knowledge Development: Build foundational knowledge of insurance products, policy structures, and underwriting practices, while also developing fluency in data tools and systems.
• Operational Execution: Perform underwriting operations activities that support policy lifecycle processing, service execution, and ensure operational consistency across the business.
• Data and Workflow Management: Accurately enter, update, validate, and maintain data within underwriting and related systems, monitoring and completing follow-up tasks for various account servicing activities.
• Process Improvement and Collaboration: Participate in process improvement, workflow standardization, and change initiatives, collaborating with various internal teams to support modern, scalable underwriting operations.
• Office Support: Coordinate day-to-day office support activities, including mail, supplies, workspace setup, and business continuity logistics, partnering with shared services to resolve workplace needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years required. Prior experience in operations or service environments is valued; prior insurance experience preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management, critical thinking and problem-solving, ability to learn systems and adapt effectively.
• Bonus: Demonstrated openness to continuous improvement and change, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
