The Tone:

• Mission: Learn to effectively manage small driver counts and diverse shifts, ensuring the safe and timely movement of freight, optimal load assignment, and best-in-class customer service while maintaining compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Driver Relations: Learn to build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers to minimize turnover and maximize ongoing productivity.
• Fleet Operations: Become proficient in maximizing the efficiency and profitability of fleet operations, measuring key performance indicators, and presenting customer-specific reports and financial analyses.
• Asset Management: Gain knowledge on how to manage inventory, assets, customer pools, and driver assignments to balance equipment in the market.
• Administrative Duties: Learn to perform administrative duties such as payroll, net-revenue budget management, driver counseling, accident reviews, and creating operational or financial reports.
• Compliance & Safety: Learn to maintain the Company’s safety culture through daily messages, briefings, training, and enforcement of company policies to ensure DOT compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. This is an entry-level management training role.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience is required if possessing a High School Diploma/GED. Willingness to travel to various account, customer, and company event locations, and the ability to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, is also required.
• Skills: Ability to learn and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety requirements; capability to resolve service issues, routing, planning, and mechanical problems; capacity for personnel management including training and orientation; analytical skills for P&L statements, KPIs, and operational reporting; interpersonal skills to work effectively with drivers, customers, and company personnel.
• Bonus: Experience managing a team; ability to anticipate, recognize, and effectively deal with existing or potential conflicts; capacity to adapt to changing environments; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers; strong communication skills to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas.
