Corporate Access Services Associate | Millennium

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Millennium, located in Tokyo, Japan. Millennium’s Platform Solutions Execution Management (PSEM) is a leading initiative that resources investment professionals globally across access, data, research, and technology, with Corporate Access being a key part. The Corporate Access Services team ensures Millennium’s investment professionals have access to the highest quality corporate access offering and services. This role is crucial for implementing communication channels, coordinating meetings, managing data, and driving operational efficiencies within the corporate access function, especially for Japan-based investment professionals.

• Mission: Ensure Millennium PM Teams have access to the highest quality corporate access offerings and services while driving operational efficiencies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Development: Partner with Millennium Corporate Access teams globally to support and advance a corporate access program that consistently adds value to PMs and Analysts.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and strengthen ongoing relationships with PMs and Analysts to stay abreast of their current coverage responsibilities and corporate access strategies.
• Access Management: Manage corporate access requests and priorities from Millennium investment professionals, primarily those based in Japan, and optimize access to Japanese corporates.
• Event Coordination: Manage all aspects of sell-side conference events, including meeting requests, scheduling, and confirmation/cancellation, and organize one-on-one meetings.
• Broker Relationship & Evaluation: Strategize and work closely with brokers to optimize corporate access allocations and manage the semi-annual Corporate Access Broker Vote process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a strong academic record. Requires significant industry experience and expertise in the corporate access ‘eco-system’.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of industry experience gained at a bank, asset manager, or hedge fund, specifically in corporate access, research, or sales roles.
• Skills: Fluent Japanese and English language skills, both verbal and written, with outstanding communication skills to interact confidently with corporate management teams and Millennium investment professionals. A high degree of operational efficiency, strong ability to multitask, and excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point for data manipulation and reporting.
• Bonus: Demonstrated ability to be a good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others achieve shared goals. Current knowledge of trends and best practices within the corporate access landscape.
