HMID BU Marketing Manager | Microchip Technology

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Microchip Technology. The company designs the technology that powers the world around us. This position plays a critical role in defining product strategy and driving go-to-market execution for microcontroller-based sensing systems in the industrial and automotive segments, while also leading a marketing engineering team. You will personally ensure first-hand market insight shapes every critical product decision within a culture that supports growth and stability.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Strategy: Define portfolio strategy, positioning, segmentation, and differentiation across industrial and automotive segments, translating requirements into prioritized product specifications and business cases.
• Go-to-Market Execution: Create and execute marketing strategies targeting priority segments, regions, and strategic accounts, partnering with Sales and driving competitive intelligence.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of Marketing Engineers, setting clear priorities, enforcing execution standards, and fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and development.
• Operational Excellence: Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools and leverage Tableau, Excel, and Microsoft 365 to build dashboards and deliver data-driven insights.
• Partner Development: Manage and strengthen Microchip’s worldwide Touch Partner network, driving design-ins through various channels.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields. Minimum 10 years in microcontroller-based sensing systems within a semiconductor company.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in product marketing roles in the semiconductor industry across Automotive, Consumer, and/or Industrial segments. Includes proven experience in new IC and firmware product definition, and 5+ years managing marketing teams in a semiconductor company.
• Skills: Strong strategic thinking with ability to prioritize in complex environments, business acumen in business case development and pricing, technical depth in system-level architectures and AEC-Q100 standards, and hands-on proficiency with analytics tools.
• Bonus: MBA or equivalent senior expertise in marketing or applications roles, capacitive touch controller experience, demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to optimize workflows, and proficiency in a second language.
