This role is essential for ensuring that R+L Carriers consistently secures the appropriate and justified revenue on all shipments, achieved through diligent verification of freight classifications against official documentation, thereby safeguarding profitability and fair pricing practices across its extensive network.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Review: Systematically review and monitor shipments as they physically transit across various designated docks within the R+L Carriers operational facilities.
• Classification Accuracy: Independently verify the actual freight class assigned to each individual shipment, ensuring its precise categorization based on established industry standards and company guidelines.
• Document Reconciliation: Conduct thorough comparisons between the verified actual shipment class and the corresponding classification details presented on the official bill of lading documentation.
• Revenue Assurance: Proactively identify discrepancies and take necessary steps to ensure R+L Carriers accurately calculates and receives the appropriate revenue for every shipment, preventing underbilling or overbilling issues.
• Data Integrity: Contribute to maintaining high standards of data accuracy within the shipping system by ensuring all classification details are correct and up-to-date.

• Background: An aspiring professional eager to embark on a career in freight logistics, focusing on critical areas such as freight classification and revenue assurance, regardless of extensive prior experience.
• Experience: While formal experience is not a prerequisite, any prior exposure or practical experience within the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipping industry or related operational environments would be a distinct advantage.

• Strong analytical capabilities to accurately assess and interpret shipment characteristics for classification purposes.
• Proven computer proficiency for efficient data entry, system navigation, and accurate record-keeping.
