What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Marketing Business Partner Team: Lead, develop, and manage the Marketing Business Partner (MBP) team aligned to business units, establishing clear standards for engagement, intake, prioritization, and delivery, and acting as an escalation point for challenges.
• Define Business Unit Marketing Strategy: Partner with Business Unit leaders to define specific marketing strategies and lead market opportunity campaigns that address growth goals, client segments, and regional dynamics, ensuring strategies reinforce the enterprise narrative.
• Refine Go-to-Market Strategies: Define and refine Go-to-Market strategies with Business Unit leaders, translating objectives into GTM priorities including segments, channels, positioning, and enablement, and using market insights to improve relevance and pipeline impact.
• Translate & Activate Enterprise Strategy: Translate enterprise and integrated solutions campaigns into actionable Business Unit activation plans, ensuring consistent adoption across regions, producers, and delivery teams, and providing feedback for enterprise strategy refinement.
• Cultivate Stakeholder Partnerships: Build trusted relationships with Business Unit and sales leadership, leading quarterly business reviews to present marketing updates, driving clarity on roles and expectations, and establishing communication best practices to ensure proactive partnership.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, including at least 5 years leading a team.
• Experience: Demonstrated ownership of go-to-market strategy (segmentation, positioning, campaign development, and field enablement) tied to specific revenue or growth goals; experience managing senior business leaders, including P&L owners and sales leadership, in settings where marketing earned its seat; experience translating enterprise-wide strategy or messaging into business-unit-specific plans that field teams actually adopt.
• Skills: Expert in go-to-market strategy definition and refinement; skilled in managing and influencing senior business and sales leadership; proficient in translating enterprise-wide strategies into actionable business-unit plans; understands the role technology plays in driving and measuring GTM performance (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, tagging, attribution); comfortable as the final decision-maker on Business Unit-specific execution while maintaining enterprise messaging guardrails.
• Bonus: Background in professional services, consulting, or staffing, especially in multi-business-unit or multi-brand B2B organizations; experience building standardized operating rhythms, including QBRs, intake processes, and briefing templates, across multiple business units or regions; exposure to marketing-sourced or marketing-influenced pipeline reporting, even without full ownership of attribution.
