Internship Fall 2026 – Marketing, Communication & Digital Content Creation For Social Justice | Committee for Public Counsel Services
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Committee for Public Counsel Services, a state agency in Massachusetts dedicated to providing legal representation for individuals who cannot afford an attorney. The organization fights for equal justice and human dignity, supporting clients in achieving legal and life goals through zealous advocacy and the promotion of just public policy. This role is crucial for developing and promoting a statewide recruitment campaign, directly contributing to the agency’s mission of expanding access to quality legal representation and supporting social justice.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week, academic semester or full academic year)
• Location: Remote, with occasional travel
• Team: Reports to Private Attorney Outreach Partner, collaborates with Communication Director and Content Creator
• Mission: Increase awareness of CPCS private attorney panel opportunities to expand access to quality legal representation
• Tech Stack: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Development: Develop creative content for CPCS social media platforms, focusing on attorney recruitment and engagement.
• Video Production: Create new video content for the website that uses storytelling to highlight the experiences of private panel attorneys, staff, and interns, showcasing the impact and value of working with CPCS.
• Material Design: Design recruitment materials, including flyers, brochures, advertisements, event materials, and digital content.
• Campaign Support: Support the development of marketing campaigns designed to raise awareness about private attorney opportunities with CPCS.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Coursework or experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, journalism, or digital media, coupled with a demonstrated commitment to zealous advocacy and the protection of fundamental constitutional and human rights.
• Experience: Experience creating content for social media platforms and familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs.
• Skills: Strong writing skills, the ability to communicate information in a clear, engaging, and visually compelling way, creativity in storytelling, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Bonus: An interest in public service, social justice, access to justice, or mission-driven work, and access to a personal computer with reliable home internet for remote work.
