Case Coordinator | Sedgwick

As a Case Coordinator, you will play a crucial part in supporting injured workers, gathering claim data, and managing workers’ compensation claims to ensure appropriate treatment and successful return to work.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Hybrid, Ohio, United States
• Pay: $17–$19 hourly
• Team: Works collaboratively with the Claims Management Team and a dedicated manager and mentor.
• Mission: This role focuses on gathering claim data and managing low to mid-level workers’ compensation claims, ensuring efficient treatment and successful return to work in compliance with Ohio BWC Guidelines.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Obtain necessary data for electronic reporting to the Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC).
• Claim Management: Manage and process medical-only and low- to mid-level lost-time workers’ compensation claims, including reviewing compensation and treatment plans, and facilitating services.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with all claim parties, providing updates and managing changes to ensure claim progression.
• Return to Work: Verify and record return to work documentation through telephonic and written communications.
• Documentation: Document all claim-related communications and management activities accurately in company systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED is required. This entry-level role requires no prior experience.
• Experience: No prior experience required; clerical or customer service experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication, computer literacy (including Microsoft Office), organizational skills, empathy, and solution-focused thinking.
