Media Intern | Core4ce

The Tone:
This is an internship at Core4ce, located in Arlington, VA. Core4ce is an organization focused on national security and defense missions, working to strengthen national security and advance warfighting outcomes across the federal sector. This role matters as it provides hands-on experience supporting a fast-paced organization by creating engaging content, supporting digital marketing initiatives, and helping to tell the story of Core4ce’s impact. It offers valuable exposure to media relations, content creation, social media strategy, branding, and multimedia production.

• Mission: This person will support national security and defense missions by creating engaging content and digital marketing initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, CapCut, content management systems (CMS)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Develop and publish engaging content for various digital and social media platforms.
• Written Communications: Draft articles, newsletters, press releases, and marketing communications materials.
• Multimedia Production: Create and edit graphics, photos, videos, and other multimedia content.
• Digital Presence Management: Maintain Core4ce’s digital footprint and uphold brand consistency across platforms.
• Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and topics relevant to defense, technology, and national security.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. High School diploma or equivalent required, with an interest in communications, marketing, or related fields.
• Experience: Familiarity with major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, demonstrated creativity, and willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Coursework in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field; experience creating content for social media, blogs, newsletters, or websites; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools; basic video editing experience; experience with photography, graphic design, or multimedia production; familiarity with content management systems (CMS); interest in government, defense, technology, or national security-related topics; previous internship, volunteer, campus organization, or personal project experience related to media or communications.
