About the Role
This Marketing Documentation & Project Management Intern position is a volunteer role within Kiva’s Marketing department, focused on creating and adopting a comprehensive knowledge base for operational, process, and data/learning documentation. The intern will take on immediate and significant responsibilities, contribute to Kiva’s mission, and gain valuable experience in the non-profit, technology, and microfinance sectors.

What You’ll Do
• Review our internal tools & storage (Confluence, Asana, GDrive, etc.) and document what information is located where.
• Propose a structure for how to consolidate & organize all resources in an efficient way that’s easy to navigate & maintain.
• Create the approved infrastructure with accompanying infrastructure.
• Create & update the Asana project with the guidance of the Creative Project Manager as this project develops.
• Document and train the Marketing department into proper use and maintenance of the new infrastructure.
• Provide a summary of the project using project management metrics established at the start of the project.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Have authorization to work in the United States on a permanent, full-time basis.
• Are at least 21 years of age or older by July 14th, 2026.
• Are able to commit to the full 6-month term.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree or are enrolled at a senior level in a related degree program (e.g., marketing, project management, communications, operations, etc.).
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Exhibit excellent time management, organization, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.
• Have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Possess a passion for Kiva’s mission and social impact work.
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Bonus Qualifications
• Examples of establishing operational &/or collaborative documentation.
• Experience with project management & wiki tools.

Role Highlights & Compensation
• This is a 6-month, part-time (24 – 32 hours per week), United States-based, remote volunteer position.
• A modest stipend of $800 a month (before taxes) will be provided.
