What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Assessment: Evaluate a patient’s need for physical therapy through thorough assessment and analysis.
• Treatment Planning: Develop an appropriate, individualized treatment plan tailored to patient needs, physician care plans, and agency policy.
• Patient Care Delivery: Provide direct care and treatment to patients, adhering to professional standards and ensuring patient well-being and progress.
• Caregiver Instruction: Instruct family members, Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
• Professional Growth: Actively engage in individualized mentorship, hands-on learning opportunities, and utilize comprehensive resources to confidently transition into an independent practicing clinician.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possesses or is eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Skills: Demonstrated capability to effectively evaluate patient needs, develop and execute appropriate treatment plans, provide skilled patient care, and educate caregivers on therapeutic techniques. Holds mandatory First Aid, AED, and CPR Certifications.
