Position Summary: Security Officer / Front Lobby
This position is part-time mixed schedule, non exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $24.03 – $33.92/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
The Security Officer / Front Lobby is responsible for protecting and serving Shriners Hospital for Children Northern California patients, visitors, staff, and all other persons on hospital property, as well as safeguarding the organization’s property and buildings. This role also involves greeting and assisting visitors, patients, employees, and medical staff at the front lobby desk in a pleasant and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, patients, employees, and medical staff at the front lobby desk in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Answer telephone calls received, routing the calls, paging, and taking messages.
- Answer phone calls from hospital staff members and responding to their needs or requests in a respectful and timely manner.
- Perform a variety of functions related to the safety and security of hospital staff, patients, families, visitors, and the general public, in accordance with city, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Consistently maintain excellent customer service and guest relations skills and abilities.
- Exercise responsibility in responding to security needs of hospital visitors, patients, and staff.

Qualifications

- Consumer Affairs Security Officers License
- State driver’s license
