The Tone:
This is a part-time, in-person role at Tesla. Tesla is at the forefront of the global transition to sustainable energy, designing and manufacturing electric vehicles, battery energy storage, solar panels, and related products. As a Vehicle Detailer Specialist, you will play a crucial, hands-on role in ensuring that every customer receives their Tesla vehicle in immaculate condition. Your meticulous work in vehicle preparation and inspection directly contributes to a seamless and exceptional customer delivery experience, upholding Tesla’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Vehicle Detailing: Meticulously clean vehicles in compliance with Tesla’s high standards, utilizing equipment such as buffers, hoses, and vacuums to perform detailed interior and exterior preparation before delivery.
• Lot Management: Safely manage vehicle arrivals, organize inventory across multiple locations, and ensure vehicles are correctly moved and charged as part of the pre-delivery process.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate efficiently with both internal Tesla teams and third-party logistics providers to facilitate the smooth flow and preparation of vehicles.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough transportation and pre-delivery inspections, identifying any issues to ensure every vehicle meets Tesla’s quality benchmarks and is ready for customer handover.
• Operational Support: Proactively prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional quality, performing additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support overall business operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: No specific educational background is required for this hands-on role. Success in this position demands a strong work ethic, a proven record of reliability and commitment, and a proactive attitude towards all responsibilities.
• Experience: Possession of a valid driver’s license is a fundamental requirement. Candidates must demonstrate an energetic and efficient approach to problem-solving, coupled with the ability to consistently meet and exceed performance goals.
• Skills: The physical ability to safely lift 50 – 60 pounds is necessary. This role also requires strong organizational skills, positive energy, a proactive attitude, and the capacity to foster collaborative relationships as an active team player.
