Position Overview

Shaw Industries is actively seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join their manufacturing and distribution teams in Dalton, GA. These entry-level roles are crucial in the production and transportation of high-quality flooring solutions for both residential and commercial customers.

Available Positions

Shaw Industries is hiring for multiple positions within its manufacturing facility, including:

• Production Associate: Involved in various aspects of the production process.
• Creeler: Responsible for loading yarn or fiber onto creels for processing.
• Creeler Operator: Operates machinery related to creeling processes.
• Utility Relief: Provides support and relief across various operational areas as needed.
• Lift Truck Operator (LTO): Operates forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
• Machine Operator: Operates and monitors manufacturing machinery.

Work Shifts Available

• Shift 2: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Shift 3: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Note: This is an 8-hour non-rotating shift.

Training and Experience

Shaw Industries is committed to employee development and will provide comprehensive training to help associates develop skills and foster career growth within the company. Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred but not required for these entry-level roles.

Key Responsibilities (May vary by assigned department and role)

• Perform physical movements including bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing repetitively.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, depending on the specific position.
• Lift a minimum of 15 lbs. up to 50 lbs. (occasionally more, depending on the role).
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in assigned work areas, including production floors and staging zones.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety, attendance, and performance policies.
• Actively participate in shift communication and team efforts to ensure smooth workflow.
• Work necessary overtime as required to meet production demands.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull repetitively.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs. to 50 lbs., occasionally more depending on the specific role.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Possess strong attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to safety and quality standards.
