• Team: Reports to the Custodian/Shift Leader
• Mission: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing County facilities and performing related custodial duties.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sanitation & Cleaning: Select proper chemicals and supplies to effectively clean and sanitize County facilities.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, wash, strip, wax, and treat various floor surfaces, including carpet cleaning.
• Surface Disinfection: Dust, disinfect, and spot clean furniture, windows, ledges, glass, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Waste Management: Empty wastebaskets, change liners, and remove garbage from County facilities.
• Common Area Upkeep: Clean and sanitize County bathrooms, lunchrooms, and other common areas with strong adherence to techniques.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least one year of experience in cleaning and/or building maintenance. The County may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience.
• Skills: Ability to learn and apply cleaning and sanitizing principles, safely operate custodial equipment, follow safety procedures, establish effective working relationships, use good judgment, and work a non-traditional schedule.
