Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Security Clearance | Allied Universal®

The TL;DR
• Role: Part Time
• Type: Scheduled Shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM)
• Location: In-person, Waynesboro, VA
• Pay: $23.69 hourly
• Mission: To serve and safeguard clients in the Aero/Defense industry by conducting patrols, deterring security-related incidents, monitoring assigned areas, and providing customer-focused assistance.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Provide comprehensive customer service to on-site personnel and visitors, ensuring their safety and security by strictly adhering to all security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and established emergency response protocols appropriate for a sensitive aerospace and defense industry location.
• Incident Response: Effectively respond to security incidents, alarms, and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach. This includes accurately documenting all actions taken and promptly notifying the appropriate contacts or supervisory personnel to ensure swift resolution and follow-up.
• Patrols: Execute regular and random foot patrols across buildings, designated work areas, and the entire perimeter of the facility. These visibility checks are crucial for deterring unauthorized activities, preventing policy violations, and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and assets.
• Access Control: Manage and enforce strict access control to restricted areas by meticulously verifying identification credentials, confirming authorization, and diligently maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle entry logs in accordance with specific site security procedures and requirements.
• Reporting and Communication: Accurately complete all routine reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, ensuring comprehensive records of all security activities. Proactively communicate any observations, concerns, or potential security risks to Allied Universal supervision and designated site representatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, and be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience: Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance for this role supporting the Aero/Defense industry.
• Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service, respond to and manage security incidents, conduct thorough patrols, perform precise access control, and complete detailed reports effectively.
• Bonus: Possess a state, county, or city issued security license.
