Intern, Plush Product Development | Jazwares

The Tone:
This is an internship at Jazwares, a leading global toy manufacturer and Berkshire Hathaway company. Jazwares creates play experiences with popular brands like Squishmallows, Pokémon, and Hello Kitty, specializing in toys, virtual games, costumes, and pet products. This role supports the Plush Product Development department by optimizing Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring smooth communication between various internal teams. The intern will gain a front-row seat to the world of textiles, patterns, and global plush product management within what is described as the world’s largest Plush Toy Company.

The TL;DR

• Type: Temporary, Full-time (10-week program)
• Location: Hybrid: Sunrise, FL (Onsite Mon-Thu, Remote Fri)
• Pay: $18–$25 hourly
• Team: Plush Product Development team
• Mission: Optimize plush manufacturing workflows through refined Standard Operating Procedures and enhanced cross-functional communication.
• Tech Stack: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop and approve updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Assist the Plush Product Development team in the completion and approval of updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring all processes are well-documented and optimized.
• Organize and review existing SOPs: Systematically organize and review all SOPs associated with Product Development, collaborating with senior management to understand and improve processes.
• Research and enhance workflows: Conduct research, take detailed notes, and actively participate in discussions aimed at enhancing product development workflows.
• Provide project feedback: Contribute to process improvements and successful execution by providing feedback on different stages of product development projects.
• Ensure cross-functional communication: Work with departments such as Design, Brand, and Packaging to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment as a high school rising senior, undergraduate, or graduate student in an accredited institution, with a requirement not to have graduated prior to March 2026. A genuine passion for Product Development, specifically concerning plush, textiles, and soft goods manufacturing, is essential.
• Experience: Demonstrated technical proficiency in documentation and data organization, crucial for managing workflows and procedures.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, maintaining a desire to learn the intricacies of fabric types, safety standards, and project management frameworks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and act as a “connector” between creative designers and technical production teams. Solid time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, enabling adaptation to various tasks and deadlines.
• Bonus: Interest in learning Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
