Warehouse Material Handler | Graybar

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Pay: $20 hourly
• Mission: Ensure products get where they need to be, supporting customer order fulfillment and inventory management.
• Tech Stack: Internal Inventory System

What You’ll Actually Do
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts, to move and handle products efficiently.
• Inventory Receiving: Unload incoming delivery vehicles and accurately receive new inventory, ensuring proper documentation and initial checks.
• Product Storage: Store products in their designated specific locations within the warehouse and meticulously update the inventory system to reflect current stock levels and placements.
• Order Fulfillment & Delivery: Select and carefully pack customer orders, with an additional responsibility to occasionally deliver these orders using a light van or other designated delivery vehicle.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by consistently following all safety procedures and performing necessary daily safety inspections.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum 18 years of age is required. Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of general warehouse operations and adherence to safety protocols within such an environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform the physical requirements inherent to a warehouse role, including frequently lifting up to 70 lbs., safely cutting wire, climbing ladders, and maintaining active movement across varying temperatures depending on the specific location. Proven capability to safely operate a range of warehouse equipment and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Skills: Exhibited ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately, crucial for efficient inventory management and order fulfillment. A strong work ethic and consistent, reliable attendance are essential for team contribution. Possess keen attention to detail for precise product handling and system updates.
