The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Zip, located remotely within the USA. Zip is an AI platform designed for enterprise procurement, enabling companies to secure necessary resources and innovate faster by orchestrating processes across teams, tools, and suppliers through the intelligent application of AI agents. In this hands-on Senior Order to Cash Operations Manager role, you will be instrumental in owning and scaling the entire Order to Cash function, driving crucial operational transformation, optimizing cash flow, and building the foundational system architecture to support Zip’s substantial future growth.

• Team: Senior individual contributor with broad exposure across Finance, Sales, Deal Desk, Product, and Engineering.
• Mission: This person owns and scales the end-to-end Order to Cash function for recurring subscriptions and consumption revenue models.
• Tech Stack: NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, Excel/Google Sheets, SQL

What You’ll Actually Do
• End-to-End Ownership: Own the order to cash lifecycle from order creation through invoicing, collections, and cash application, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to contractual terms.
• Collections Management: Drive customer collections by overseeing dunning processes, monitoring AR aging, and conducting direct outreach to customers with past-due accounts, resolving disputes and escalations.
• System Implementation: Lead new billing and revenue system implementations, driving accounting requirements and keeping cross-functional stakeholders aligned on scope and timing.
• Automation and AI Deployment: Identify and deploy automation and AI-based workflows across invoicing and collections to reduce process cycle times and improve efficiency.
• SKU Launch Collaboration: Collaborate with GTM, Deal Desk, and Product on new SKU launches, validating that billing and accounting systems are ready before the launch date.
• Cash Flow Optimization: Proactively monitor and implement strategies to maintain strong collections, optimize cash flow, and minimize bad debt exposure.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; senior-level experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or order-to-cash operations.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience including time at a high-growth technology company; managing hybrid revenue models (recurring subscription + consumption); and a track record of building or overhauling finance processes and systems with sound judgment.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for reconciliation and data analysis; working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and application to billing; experience building AI-driven workflows involving multiple data sources and/or system integration points; strong collaboration and communication skills for effective cross-functional partnering; familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, and modern billing and collections tooling.
• Bonus: CPA certification; SQL proficiency for data retrieval and analysis.
