Material Planning Senior Expert – LATAM | Firmenich

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Firmenich, located in Cotia, SP. Firmenich is a Swiss-Dutch company that reinvents, manufactures, and combines vital nutrients, flavors, and fragrances for the world’s population. This role is key to strengthening and evolving material strategic planning across Latin America, ensuring material availability, supply continuity, and efficient inventory management for the region. It is a hands-on position that combines technical expertise with leadership through influence to drive the transition towards a more integrated regional planning organization.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Hybrid (3 days per week on-site)
• Location: Hybrid – Cotia, SP

• Team: Works cross-functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, Capacity Planning, Commercial, Customer Experience, and global Supply Chain teams.
• Mission: To strengthen and evolve Material Strategic Planning across Latin America, ensuring material availability, supply continuity, and efficient inventory management.
• Tech Stack: SAP, Advanced Excel, Power BI (plus), Kinaxis (strong plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead regional material planning activities, ensuring material availability, supply continuity, and efficient planning across Latin America.
• Monitor material requirements, inventory levels, safety stocks, lead times, and supply risks, proactively identifying gaps and driving mitigation actions.
• Develop and recommend material supply strategies that balance service levels, inventory efficiency, and business priorities.
• Act as a regional subject-matter expert in Material Planning, providing technical guidance and sharing best practices across countries and teams.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and manage stakeholders across different functions and levels, building consensus around material planning decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Economics, or a related field. Solid senior-level experience in Material Planning and end-to-end Supply Chain.
• Experience: Solid experience in Material Planning. Hands-on experience with SAP. Fluency in both English and Spanish, with confidence communicating and making decisions in a regional environment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of MRP, material requirements planning, and supply risk management. Advanced Excel skills and ability to work confidently with data and planning reports. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a self-driven mindset.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Power BI. Experience with Kinaxis.
