The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary (10 weeks)
• Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
• Pay: $35 hourly
• Mission: Identify patterns in payment risk data to inform trust and safety strategy and automate analytical functions.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Python, AI/ML tools, Tableau, Looker

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis on risk data signals to identify patterns, trends, and correlations across multiple risk indicators.
• AI Optimization: Help create and optimize projects within our AI tooling portfolio to automate analytical functions.
• Insight Synthesis: Assist with synthesizing findings into clear analysis insights and summaries that communicate key takeaways.
• Product Development: Participate in crafting product outlines, defining requirements, and building prototypes to support the product development lifecycle.
• Monitoring: Assist with the creation and maintenance of dashboards, instrumentation, and telemetry to monitor product health and risk metrics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts, including practical experience working with datasets, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful conclusions. Familiarity with SQL, Python, or similar tools for efficient data querying and analysis.
• Skills: Ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights through strong written and verbal communication, detail-oriented with robust organizational skills, and a proactive, self-starter mindset coupled with curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Bonus: Interest or coursework in payment risk management, fraud detection, or trust and safety. Familiarity with AI/ML tools, prompt engineering, or building workflows using generative AI platforms. Exposure to dashboard or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms, or an interest in prototyping or wireframing tools for product concept development.
