Warehouse Runner – FB | ASM Global

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at ASM Global, within the Food and Beverage Department. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of all concession locations, directly contributing to the guest experience by maintaining well-stocked, clean, and organized food service areas. The Warehouse Runner is responsible for the foundational logistics of product handling, inventory management, and equipment upkeep, which are critical for efficient event day operations and overall customer satisfaction.

• Team: Food and Beverage team, reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager
• Mission: Ensures concession locations are stocked and clean, supporting efficient food and beverage operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Logistics: Ensure all concession locations are consistently stocked and products are rotated meticulously using the FIFO (first in, first out) method to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Venue Upkeep: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse facility and within all concession stands, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Event Support: Execute product transfers both before and during events, guaranteeing that all items are stored correctly and readily available for ongoing operations.
• Concession Management: Assist with the efficient set-up and tear-down processes for portable concession locations, contributing to seamless event preparation and conclusion.
• Equipment Maintenance: Support the cleaning and maintenance of various foodservice equipment, including fryers, grills, and other essential tools, to ensure operational readiness and adherence to hygiene standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess a High School diploma or a General Education Degree (GED), coupled with foundational experience in a foodservice environment. This role is ideal for individuals seeking an entry-level position within a dynamic event setting.
• Experience: Requires at least six months of hands-on foodservice experience and/or relevant training. Prior experience in a fast-food setting is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of quick-service operations and efficiency.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Possess basic mathematical skills for inventory and counting. Capable of communicating effectively via radio (walkie talkie) and consistently lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. Requires a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Availability: Must have open and reliable availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
