Job Description

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer with Clearance Required in Panama City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in dynamic industries, specifically a tech and telecommunications location. This part-time role offers flexibility, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore additional shifts via our exclusive “Claim a Shift” platform. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond to access control and alarm activity. What You’ll Do

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal guidelines, using professional judgment to help deter threats.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of office, data, and operations areas, including interior and exterior perimeter checks, to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and visitor logs, and complete timely documentation of patrols, incidents, and unusual observations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess an active armed guard card/license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only (check if this applies to this specific role, typically for vehicle patrols).
