This is an Onsite working arrangement at our Sacramento, CA location.

About You

You are a dependable self-starter, interested in managing the day-to-day security operations of one of our commercial buildings. This role represents a foundational step towards a rewarding career in corporate security within the expanding field of commercial real estate. You possess a strong work ethic and bring a positive, customer-centric approach to every task. You will gain proficiency in operating and managing a comprehensive suite of security and building systems, including:

  • Security video systems
  • C-Cure building access control
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Intercom and telephone systems
  • Public address systems
  • NVR (Network Video Recorder) systems
  • Two-way radio communications systems

Furthermore, you will be instrumental in maintaining the overall security and safety of the building by managing approved after-hours access, documenting incident reports, and being prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • A clear criminal history and successful completion of a drug test.
  • A valid California BSIS Guard Card is mandatory.
  • The physical ability to stand at post for prolonged periods, conduct regular patrol walks, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

What You’ll Bring (Key Competencies)

  • Proficiency in the security control room and with related systems and equipment.
  • The ability to regularly monitor emergency broadcast messages and life safety scanners.
  • Skill in maintaining accurate reports and logs of after-hours access, incidents, and daily activities.
  • A professional and positive demeanor in all interactions with tenants, clients, staff, and the public.

Compensation Details

Pursuant to the laws regarding job postings where the position is located, Colliers is disclosing the following information:

  • Area/Location Specific: Sacramento, CA
  • Approximate Hourly Range for this Role: $19.43/hr – $21/hr

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
