Job Description
About The Bosco:
The Bosco is a creative event technology company specializing in producing immersive photo and video experiences for corporate events, brand activations, and social celebrations. We are expanding our operations into the vibrant Miami market and are seeking a local creative individual to be our inaugural team member on the ground.
This is not a traditional employment opportunity; rather, it’s a unique ground-floor chance for someone seeking flexible income, hands-on creative experience, and the prospect of growing alongside a rapidly expanding company.
The Role: Miami Point Person
As our Miami point person, you will be instrumental in managing equipment, executing events, and eventually building and training a local crew as demand for our services increases. While our core team will provide remote support and fly in when necessary, you will primarily function as the local operator for day-to-day activities.
We operate efficiently and lean. You will be responsible for securely storing a compact set of equipment (with a compensatory stipend provided for storage) and arriving prepared to flawlessly execute events. Your efforts will be crucial in establishing and expanding The Bosco’s presence throughout South Florida.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate The Bosco’s specialized photo/video activation equipment at various events.
- Serve as the primary crew member on-site, ensuring that the event experience runs seamlessly from start to finish.
- Securely store a compact set of equipment at your designated location, which must have reliable internet access.
- Maintain consistent remote communication with our core team before and after events.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of additional local crew members as event volume grows.
- Occasionally provide support with local logistical tasks, such as scouting locations or coordinating with vendors.
- Represent The Bosco’s brand with the utmost professionalism and energetic enthusiasm.
What We’re Looking For:
- Photography or Videography Background: A strong understanding of lighting, composition, and the ability to effectively manage event dynamics.
- Comfortable with Tech: Aptitude for quickly learning new equipment and troubleshooting technical issues independently and efficiently.
- Reliable and Professional: A commitment to punctuality and professionalism, especially given fixed event start times.
- Miami-Based with Car: Must reside in Miami, possess a reliable vehicle, and have flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Secure Storage Space: Access to a secure home or studio space suitable for safely storing equipment, complete with internet connectivity.
- Self-Starter: Proactive individual who takes initiative and ownership of tasks without constant supervision.
- Bonus: Prior experience in corporate events, brand activations, or experiential marketing.
Compensation:
Base Rate:
- $40–$50 per hour for event execution, setup, and training hours (commensurate with experience).
Equipment Storage Stipend:
- A monthly stipend will be provided for secure equipment storage at your location.
Project Commission:
- Earn a commission on every Miami event successfully booked. This offers an opportunity for increased income as the market expands, rather than being a source of sales pressure.
What This Looks Like:
Initially, this role offers supplemental income with flexible hours. As The Bosco’s presence in Miami strengthens, this can evolve into a significant, ongoing position with the potential to lead a local team.
Why This Is a Great Fit For the Right Person:
- You are a photographer or creative professional seeking flexible, well-compensated work.
- You have a keen interest in the events and experiential industry and desire tangible experience.
- You aspire to ground-floor involvement with a growing company, rather than just a temporary gig.
- You are not primarily looking for a sales role, but you appreciate the benefits of contributing to business growth.
