What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Monitoring & Assessment: Monitor patients throughout dialysis treatments, assessing their condition and effectively communicating any changes to physicians and families.
• Treatment Preparation & Delivery: Prepare dialysis machines and all necessary treatment supplies, ensuring quality standards are met before performing hemodialysis treatments according to facility protocols.
• Medication Administration: Administer and accurately chart all prescribed medications, operating under the supervision of a registered nurse during initial training and integration.
• Education & Coaching: Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching, meticulously documenting all interactions and progress.
• Care Coordination: Actively participate in patient care conferences, clinical rounds, and chart reviews to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An accredited nursing degree is required, welcoming early career professionals and new graduates seeking their first nursing role.
• Experience: No prior dialysis experience is required, as comprehensive paid training is provided.
• Skills: Possess excellent communication abilities, a strong desire to collaborate effectively with care teams, and a proven ability to problem-solve clinical situations.
