What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Interaction: Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience, ensuring every customer exits Lowe’s on a high note.
• Checkout Management: Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area and manage the cash register efficiently.
• Transaction Accuracy: Accurately scan and bag items, and process various payments and exchanges.
• Customer Support: Answer customer questions comprehensively, providing assistance and solutions as needed.
• Store Operations: Help maintain a clean and safe workstation, and contribute to other store activities such as helping other departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts when required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and the ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.
• Experience: Proficiency in using a computer for information input, access, modification, and output.
• Skills: Customer service, cash handling, attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective communication.
• Bonus: Prior retail or customer service experience, and bilingual skills.
