Welcome Center Rest Area Attendant | U.S. Facilities, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a part-time Welcome Center Rest Area Attendant role at U.S. Facilities, Inc., located in North Augusta, SC. This position is essential for maintaining the general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the Welcome Center, ensuring a consistently welcoming and safe environment for all visitors and staff. The attendant plays a direct role in the public’s experience at this key rest area.
The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to the Project Manager or designated Supervisor
• Mission: Ensure the general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the Welcome Center facilities.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Grounds and Waste Management: Execute solid waste removal, empty all trash and recycling containers as specified by contract, and collect litter from all outdoor areas.
• Exterior Safety and Cleanliness: Sweep parking lots and sidewalks, pick up litter, remove snow, and apply ice melt as directed to ensure safe and clear pedestrian and vehicle paths.
• Outdoor Area Sanitation: Remove litter from flower beds and non-paved areas, meticulously clean picnic areas, and sanitize grills for public use.
• Comprehensive Interior Janitorial: Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming across all support rooms, lobbies, entrance ways, common areas, and carpeted spaces.
• Facility Upkeep and Detailing: Clean all countertops, fixtures, windows, mirrors, desks, flat surfaces, pictures, and walls, replace light bulbs as requested, empty office and common area garbage containers, and address all other maintenance needs, including stripping and waxing floors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, with a specific required shift of Saturday and Sunday 3PM-11PM.
• Experience: Must possess a current government-issued identification and reliable transportation to and from the assigned North Augusta work location.
• Skills: Ability to lift twenty-five to fifty pounds (25-50lbs.) and comply with the Company Drug and Alcohol Policy.
• Bonus: Prior Janitorial experience is preferred for this role.
