Job Description: Driver (2-Person Team) – Inglewood, CA

MNX, a UPS Company, is currently seeking a dedicated driver to work in 2-person teams. This role involves picking up and delivering packages from local customer locations in the Inglewood, CA area.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload shipments for delivery.
  • Possess knowledge of and adhere to all safety, security, and operating procedures for the pickup and delivery of customer packages and the operation of motor vehicles, including remaining in compliance with all Federal, state, and local laws.
  • Scan information on airbills and manifests.

Requirements:

  • Education: Verifiable / Proof of high school diploma, GED, or higher education.
  • Employment History: 7 years of verifiable employment.
  • Driving Record: 3-year clean driving record, which must be maintained.
  • Background Checks: Applicants must be able to pass a credit check, a 10-year documented background check, and a criminal history check.
  • TSA Testing: Applicants must complete TSA testing.
  • Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Driver’s License: Applicants must possess a valid Class “D” driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required).
  • Physical Ability: Applicants must be able to lift in excess of 70 lbs.
  • Airport Access: Applicants must be able to pass a UPS test and get badged to enter the OAK airport.
  • Communication: Position requires the ability to communicate (write and speak) effectively in English and the ability to provide general direction to others.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours per week. Monday – Friday, from 05:30 AM to 09:30 AM.
  • On-Call: You will also be expected to cover when other drivers are on vacation or leave sick.
  • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour. The base pay for this position ranges from $15.15/hr to $24.65/hr, dependent on factors like market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education/training, and work experience.

Pre-Employment Screening:

Due to the nature of our business, you will be subject to strict background investigations, including past employment verification, criminal history records checks, and must be able to pass a drug screen. All applicants must complete a 10-year employment/education history indicating any periods of unemployment.
