Zeta Summer Internship Program | Zeta

The Tone:
This summer internship at Zeta, based in New York, NY, operates on a hybrid schedule with specific in-person requirements during onboarding events. Zeta builds and sustains high-performing elementary and middle schools, providing exceptional academic achievement and social-emotional development for students across New York City. This role offers invaluable insight into the operational work needed to launch a new school year, focusing on supporting the People Operations team. Interns will directly contribute to preparing Zeta for the 2026-27 school year, helping to ensure schools are fully ready for staff and students.

What You’ll Actually Do
• New Hire Streamlining: Develop communication templates and track key steps to streamline the experience for new hires, ensuring employees arrive prepared for their roles.
• Onboarding Operations Support: Track communications, deliverables, and materials across key systems to keep the onboarding process organized and running smoothly.
• Onboarding Event Execution: Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, and support a welcoming and organized experience for new Zeta team members during the largest onboarding event.
• Data Management and Reporting: Support reporting, track key metrics, and maintain accurate employee records by utilizing core systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a college student, with a preference for current Seniors.
• Experience: Proven data skills, including comfort and proficiency with Google Sheets for basic/advanced formulas, data imports and exports, and report building. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks strategically, maintain organization, and exhibit extreme dependability.
• Skills: Strong work ethic, excellent communication and customer service capabilities, a robust problem-solving mentality, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: A deep and demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Charter Schools, combined with a strong collaborative spirit and a tireless commitment to ensuring school readiness for the 2026-27 academic year.
