Writer-at-Large Journalist Intern | The Ambony

This is a virtual and unpaid internship at The Ambony, a digital platform providing a curated mix of culture and lifestyle content. This role is crucial for delivering engaging content that aligns with the company’s vision and serves its targeted demographic. You will gain valuable writing experience while contributing across various content areas.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Cover diverse content across all departments, aligning with The Ambony’s vision for its targeted demographic.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guides: Create quarterly city travel guides focused on urban destinations, both domestically and globally.
• Content Creation: Write semiregular short and long-form pieces of content across different departments on an as-needed basis.
• Column Management: Maintain one regular column specifically focused on travel topics and experiences.
• Special Assignments: Cover special assignments such as red-carpet updates, awards commentary, and seasonal discussions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidate with an interest in covering a diverse array of topics across culture, lifestyle, and fashion.
• Experience: Demonstrated writing ability, with experience in creating varied content pieces, as shown through writing samples.
• Skills: Ability to demonstrate a global outlook and perspective in all written content.
• Bonus: Preferred: Submission of design and video work samples alongside writing portfolio.
