Job Title: Water Intern – CAD

About Garver’s Water Design Center (WDC)
Garver’s Water Design Center (WDC) in Harlingen, TX, is seeking an ambitious engineering student to join their close-knit team as a CAD Intern for the Summer of 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in water treatment facility planning and design, contributing to innovative solutions for communities across the region. You’ll dive into the world of design, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and professional environment as part of a group of dedicated professionals committed to making a tangible difference.
Internship Responsibilities
- Create plans, sections, and details using various software, including Civil 3D, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate as a team player with technicians and designers from various disciplines (process, structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.), and work directly with Project Managers and design teams to execute projects.
- Arrange necessary resources for efficient file sharing and communication across the company or with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain strong communication with engineers and project managers to ensure timely project delivery and prevent potential conflicts.
- Perform QA/QC to ensure all projects adhere to company CAD standards.

Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Previous internship experience.
