What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Acquisition: Learn how Shirley obtains new work by soliciting and providing preliminary evaluations of subcontractor bids, performing quantity takeoffs, and scoping bid packages.
• Field Supervision Support: Assist field supervisors with schedule planning and management, tracking daily quantities, receiving and tracking tickets, and reviewing Foreman Daily Timecards for self-perform and subcontractor crews.
• Financial Management: Understand the business and financial aspects associated with a project, including administering subcontracts, reviewing requests for payment, tracking change orders, and managing budgets.
• Project Documentation: Manage project submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure clear communication and progression.
• Relationship Building: Establish positive working relationships with customers and co-workers while learning about the company’s culture and policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be 18 years of age or older and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Possess a general understanding of or strong desire to work in the heavy highway/civil construction industry.
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership abilities and a dedicated team player, ready and willing to learn new skills to enhance career growth.
• Skills: Outstanding communication, organizational, and time-management skills; proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
