Video Intern | Medidata

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Medidata, located in New York, United States (Hybrid). Medidata creates digital solutions to support clinical trials, helping to power smarter treatments and healthier people. This role supports the in-house Creative Services team by contributing to video production and content creation, directly impacting branded content for digital platforms and accelerating clinical breakthroughs. Interns will engage in sustainable and meaningful work, fostering a culture of curiosity and fun.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist the production team in meeting project deliverables, timelines, and budgets across multiple projects.
• Capture: Record B-roll, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage, including setting up equipment and managing shoot logistics.
• Edit: Perform video editing tasks such as cutting footage, adding graphics, sound editing, and color correction.
• Organize: Manage and archive video assets to ensure easy retrieval and collaborate on new video concepts.
• Optimize: Create motion graphics and optimize video content for internal, web, and social media platforms while maintaining brand standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, communications, or related academic program.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in a professional creative services environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of video production processes, terminology, editing software, camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording techniques.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while thinking on your feet and solving issues quickly with a creative and analytical mindset.
