Vice President, Finance (North Central Division, Diagnostics Segment) | Labcorp

The Tone:
This is a full-time leadership role at Labcorp, located remotely within the North Central geographic region. Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, advancing diagnostics and improving health outcomes through science, data, and technology. This position is critical for driving financial performance, enabling profitable growth, and shaping the strategic direction of a >$1 billion division.

The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to the Diagnostics CFO
• Mission: Driving financial performance, enabling profitable growth, and shaping the division’s strategic direction for the North Central Division.
• Tech Stack: Automation, scalable data solutions, advanced analytics, AI-enabled finance tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Finance Leadership: Serve as the finance leader and key member of the division’s leadership team, partnering with operations and commercial leaders to shape and execute business strategy.
• Performance & Value Creation: Own and drive full P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and cost optimization, identifying and executing initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead annual planning, forecasting, and long-range financial strategy, providing forward-looking insights through scenario planning and analytics.
• M&A and Strategic Initiatives: Lead financial evaluation of acquisition opportunities, including valuation and synergy modeling, and support deal execution and financial integration efforts.
• Capital Allocation & Governance: Evaluate and prioritize capital investments, ensuring strong ROI discipline, and strengthen financial governance and compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 15 or more years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably supporting large, complex businesses, including 10 or more years in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L management, and 5 or more years operating within regulated industries.
• Skills: P&L management, FP&A, business partnering, financial governance, utilizing data/analytics/automation to improve financial outcomes, working knowledge of AI-enabled finance tools.
• Bonus: Master of Business Administration (MBA) with 5 or more years of senior finance leadership experience, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.
