Rotational Program Associate Analyst- Corporate Finance and Accounting 2027 | Maximus

This is a full-time Rotational Program Associate Analyst position at Maximus, located in McLean, VA, operating in a hybrid capacity. • Team: Rotational across Business Segment Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, Pricing, Accounting (General Ledger), Accounting Systems, and Corporate Finance
• Mission: To develop future finance leaders who will gain a comprehensive understanding of Maximus’s financial operations and contribute to various finance functions.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare accurate project financial reports and submit them on a monthly basis to Corporate Finance.
• Monitoring: Track financial status by monitoring variances from forecasts and organizing monthly Finance Calendar activities.
• Accruals & Invoices: Prepare monthly accruals for submission to corporate finance and review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy, appropriate coding, and payment status.
• Reconciliations: Prepare account reconciliations and various analyses to support month-end and quarter-end financials.
• Information Sharing: Publish monthly Project Financial Dashboards and Labor Reports to Project Management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be an undergraduate senior actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• Experience: Requires 0-3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Skills: Ability to deliver quality services and results in a deadline-driven environment, demonstrated capacity to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Candidates who have previously interned with Maximus may be considered for an off-cycle start date.
