User Interface Intern | GenPark

The Tone:
This is an internship at GenPark, located in Los Angeles, CA with flexibility for some work from home. GenPark is an agentic discovery platform for global commerce, focused on bringing marketing into the agent-first era by using Intelligent Brand Agents and User Agents. The company works to connect products, content, and experiences with the right consumers through personalized AI content, interactive agents, and immersive video. This role is crucial for helping brands discover, engage, and convert global Gen Z audiences more efficiently by contributing to the design and refinement of next-generation tools for consumer engagement.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: Hybrid, Los Angeles, CA

• Mission: This person solves the problem of ensuring intuitive and consistent user interfaces across GenPark’s web and mobile platforms, translating complex requirements into accessible designs.
• Tech Stack: Figma, Sketch (or similar)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Support: Support the design and refinement of user interfaces across both web and mobile experiences.
• Asset Creation: Create UI mockups and various visual assets in alignment with project requirements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate actively with designers and product managers to translate project requirements into intuitive and effective user interfaces.
• Prototyping: Assist with building interactive prototypes that will be utilized for comprehensive user testing and design iteration.
• Consistency: Help maintain established design systems and ensure visual consistency across all platforms and user touchpoints.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience or relevant coursework in user interface design, visual design skills, User Experience Design (UED) principles, and prototyping, including building interactive prototypes for testing and iteration.
• Skills: Proficiency with common design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar; understanding of responsive design principles; strong communication skills; and a basic understanding of Front-End Development concepts for effective collaboration.
• Bonus: A portfolio or samples showcasing UI work, coursework, or personal projects directly relevant to this internship role.
